Neuton Alegreya Martel Merriweather

To follow up on the previous selection of sans typefaces, here’s a collection of serifs!


A large x-height, short ascenders and descenders and a compact width for better screen use. A bit dark and serious but with joyful details. 6 different styles including italics and a compact width for better screen use makes it great for setting body copy.

Merriweather features a very large x-height, slightly condensed letterforms, a mild diagonal stress, sturdy serifs and open forms. There are 4 styles: Regular, Light, Bold, and Black with Italic for each of those weights.

A playful and organic serif typeface with small caps as a separate style, beautiful italics and 6 different styles in total.

Martel is a readable typeface whose glyph proportions are inspired by traditional writing and calligraphic styles. Features high-contrast strokes, large x-height, generous counters and is available in 7 different weights.
